The GTX is cheaper by about $100 or so....my mistake, but it does outperform the 4870x2 in most Game Benches...

Yes indeed! NCIX has a rebate on this card as well! With the rebate it makes it cheaper than the GTX 295.

After getting the 4850 I have to say, I'm quickly becoming an ATI fan
Anyway, to put the subject back on thread topic, I would suggest getting the gtx 280... It's at a smokin' price right now and apart from numbers and benchmark results, you won't notice much difference in game.
