I don't know much about gpu temps, or actually temps in general, but i would have thought a 30-40 idle temp would be better all around.
I don't notice a difference in noise from 20% to 50%, why'd ya set yours so low? Does it save power?
The R770 GPU's are designed to idle at temps of 60C-80C, and load at 90C-110C. It sounds hot and bad, but the chips can take it
Thats not to say of course, that you shouldn't keep temps down, as it will extend their lives, but 50C idle, and 60C load really is nothing for the chips.
