It depends.... If I've got a hard lock or reboot during OS loading (or initializing after welcome screen) I'll normally try a small NB boost first and then go for cpu if that doesn't do the trick. If I get 2 minutes into prime before it errors I'll normally bump cpu. I always do a couple of quick 1M superpi runs on initial boot as my first stability test.
