Looks like M$ will not make the same mistake - Seems Direct X 11 will be released for BOTH Windows 7 (will ship with the final release with Win7) and also be released for VISTA.
Now saying Win7 is a 1:1 copy VISTA with visual tweaks is not 100% true, while it is based on VISTA's foundation, there are a few changes, maybe not a MAJOR OS revision - but this version of windows will have biometrics user authentication and activation - sounds scary ? you should stick to Windows XP or VISTA......:)
As to DX 11, I am skeptic we'll be seeing any DX11 game in 2009.......we barely have DX10 games so f*ck it - I'm sticking to XP & VISTA fo rmy DX10 games, I hardly see any reason for Windows 7, even with the so-called new features and the new user interface which is a bloody joke IMO. |
Games are that important to me.
When an OS is released that I like then I'll switch. I haven't liked Vista and I don't like Win7 so far.
So XP stays.
