Some rpeliminary tweaking here- I used the Turbo mode to get the 21X multi, but the only way I could keep the turbo option open in the bios was to keep speedstep enabled, so there is a delay after I start up superpi before the multi bumps to 21- is this normal- maybe a bios update might change this. Seems like they don't want us burning out our CPUs so to get the real clocks we need to allow software throttling.
I also have a dual boot with my old 32bit vista disk, and when I boot into that, speedstep doesn't seem to be throttling back the multi- I got just over 10 seconds there, but the disk and registry are messy and there are alot of processes running.
