I agree with MpG on the case choice, the Cosmos S will give you LOTS of breathing room if you decide to watercool. If your getting a 4870X2, well, there no such thing as a 1GB version so I guess I'd recommend the 2GB version .

As for GPU vendor, I'd go with either VisionTek or HIS, my reasoning for this is VisionTek has a lifetime warrenty, and HIS if you buy it on NCIX, all warranty service is DONE with NCIX for the first year.

On the HDD, I'd recommend the Western Digital 1TB Black Edition, one of the most reliable 1TB drives, and a great uber speed to boot.

On the PSU side I'd recommend the SilverStone Olympia 1000Watt PSU, very high quality, and an awesome price.

As for the ram, you really limited right now, NCIX/CD only sell3 kits right now and there all pretty much the same, I'd grab the Patriot Extreme Viper 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600 CL 9-9-9-24 Triple Channel Memory Kit simply because there on sale and the cheapest kit. So to sum it up

GPU - HIS or VisonTek 4870X2 2GB
HDD - WD 1TB Black Edition
PSU - SilverStone Olympia 1000Watt
RAM - Patriot Extreme Viper 3x2GB 6GB DDR3-1600 9-9-9-24
DVD/Blu-ray - ANY drive, get cheapest.

Those are my recommendations, can't go wrong with them.
