Are you running your SATA drive in IDE emulation mode or AHCI ?
Yes this is caused by SecurCRAP - Sometimes when you haev SCSI devices or devices detected and reported as SCSI it can do that - Maybe it's time that the guys behind those protection schemes update their "engines" to detect SATA ROMs as legit and not as drive emulation which install as SCSI emulation drivers - I've never had this problem before because I have IDE DVD-ROM / Writers, but try Y.A.S.U., the latest version, run it and enable it, and try running your game again. Keep in mind that if you attempt to use a cracked EXE you will not be able to play online, and you might even get yourself banned from some servers so be careful.

Can you tell me how is your DVD-ROM drive detected in device manager ?
