I'm just gonna make 1 suggestion. If your friend has a P4 PC right now, can you gut it.. and reuse the case? That way you can buy a cheap/
but good PSU. Don't go near that Startech PSU if at all possible... a bad PSU can take the motherboard, CPU, RAM, HDD.. (almost anything it powers) with it.... if it croaks.
Here is a great little PSU, that is dirt-cheap, and should offer increased reliability..as well as quality power(it features aPFC, and 80+ efficiency

). You would have to act fast though, as it's only on sale til the Nov.18th. GL with the build.
Edit: You have to buy a
power cord, unless you use the one from your friends old machine.
