Maybe in the next 4 weeks then?

Either way it would be nice if Nvidia announced release dates well ahead of time like Intel does. That way people buying cards can plan their purchase a bit better rather than being caught buying an older card and a few weeks later having a better model for a similar price.

Nvidia certainly knows how to wind its customers up with endless refreshes-I guess they're trying to milk the step-up programs.

In the last 12 months-

Mid range: 8800GTS to 8800GTS more stream processors to 8800GT followed by 8800GTS 512 then 9800GTX shortly after (for similar price) to 9800GTX+,
forgot the 9800GT

High end: 8800GTX and ultra to GTX260 to GTX260 core 216 (within a few months of each other), now GTX 270 and GTX290 to replace the GTX 260's and GTX290 after only 4 months.

Not to mention the endless amount of incremental overclocked versions.
I'm sure the GTX270 and 290 will be great cards though........
