The E8600 is great the Multiplier is 10 so OC to 4.0 is super easy just bump the FSB to 400 and your done....considering most board support 1600FSb out of the Box and most ram is 400FSB and above it makes a very stable 4.0 Overclock. And yeah the E8500 is just not worth the higher price over the E8400 and the slightly lower price of the E8600
